Should we open the economy?

For one side, it is true that economy has decreased since the outbreak started and it will keep going down if some measures are not taken. Now on the other side, if the situation with the virus keeps increasing, I don't think people is gonna risk their life and go to work during an outbreak. We have to consider that there is not room in hospitals anymore, and supplies are constantly being needed. Now imagine having five time that once people start going to work. --Mateo

I think that a long lack of work will greatly affect the country's economy. A severe crisis may begin. But on the other hand, was the point that people were sitting at home all this time, then to go outside again and become infected? --Artur

I think it is a bad idea to open the economy because the first thing that needs to be resolved is to have the solution to cure COVID 19. We all know health goes first before money. If you are not healthy you cannot be strong for making money. I don't think anyone will go out to work to catch COVID 19. Opening the economy meaning caring about how to cure the disease. If we can’t find a cure, we can do the same as France. France said that citizens should no longer worry about paying taxes, and to stay healthy at home. The United States could at least find a solution similar to that of France, which prefers that its citizen stay in good health at home while the government seeks a solution. --Dany
